Job Title: Gambling Manager
Location: Forest Lake American Legion Post 225 – Forest Lake, MN
Hours: 20–35 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Pay Range: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience
Position Summary
Forest Lake American Legion Post 225 is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Gambling Manager to oversee and manage all charitable gambling operations in compliance with Minnesota Gambling Control Board (MN GCB) regulations. This individual will be responsible for the daily administration, financial accuracy, and integrity of our charitable gambling activities, including pull tabs, electronic gaming, raffles, and bingo.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of charitable gambling operations in compliance with MN GCB rules and Post 225 policies.
- Supervise and train gambling staff and volunteers.
- Oversee the setup, operation, and accounting of pull tabs, electronic gaming, bingo, raffles, and other authorized activities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, payouts, and deposits.
- Prepare and submit all required state and internal reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and reconcile daily activity reports.
- Ensure all equipment, cash drawers, and games are secure and accounted for.
- Coordinate with Post leadership on budgeting, charitable contributions, and compliance issues.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and other regulatory processes.
- Promote a positive, honest, and professional work environment consistent with Legion values.
Qualifications
- Must meet all Minnesota Gambling Control Board licensing requirements for Gambling Managers.
- Previous experience in charitable gambling or gaming management preferred.
- Strong understanding of MN gambling laws, rules, and reporting requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and/or gambling management software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Must be a Veteran and a member of an American Legion Post for a minimum of 1 year
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
